The early morning arose us fast after capturing 2 RAF Chinooks coming into Gloucestershire Airport for a quick hot-pit the evening before!

A friend and I packed up all our kit at 4.30am and headed 3hrs east to visit perhaps one of the most exiting air bases in the UK, RAF Lakenheath, home to the 48th Fighter Wing or commonly known as the "Liberty Wing"

I have visit this base on Numerous occasions but never been on a Friday when all the quick climb action happens which is an amazing sight to behold.

Arriving at the base by 7.30am we had already missed a 4 ship of the beautiful F15 Eagles heading off the the famous Mach loop up in North Wales (LFA7)

BUT NOT ALL TO WORRY ABOUT...

My scanner goes into Panic mode and we have 8 F35s taxing up the top end holding on Runway 06, so out with the cameras, shutter speeds on full blast and spring into action like a hyper frog!

Amazing weather was also on show with barley any clouds and blazing sunshine, 12 witnessed take offs already by 8.30am, this day was a BUZZ!

..

The Americans in full force is outstanding, We could hear the pilots speaking to ATC that they had reached 15000ft in only a matter of a few short seconds...…WOOOW.

10.30am - We also had a huge influx of more of the F15 strike eagles, Twin engine beasts, a common debate on whether the F15s are louder than the F35s being twin engine.

They also climb extremely quick, but personally not quite a quick as the 35s
